Ashoka International Centre for Educational Studies and Research, Nashik is a Linguistic Minority College was established in October 2008 and managed by Ashoka Education Foundation (AEF)-(R), which was established in 2002.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai. It is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal & Govt. of Maharashtra.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade (CGPA Score 2.57 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 2nd May 2017.
The college has been awarded a certificate of ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.
It is a women's self-financed Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Nashik played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The Trust first established Ashoka Universal School - AUS in 2004. It follows Indian Certificate of Secondary Education curriculum. Its motto is redefining excellence in education.
It was perceived that the school was not able to get the kind of the teachers it wanted and so a need was felt to open a teacher education institute.

The college also received the many achievements awards in the field of Teacher Training at Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai.
The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from the recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled to a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
Admission is done based on the basis of Central Entrance Examination conducted by the Govt. through MKCL.
Also, another way for entrance in the college is first clearing the CET and English test. Then the candidates are required to give preference to the colleges and accordingly those who opt for AEF's AICESR are admitted through government’s centralized admission procedure.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
