Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady (Dist. Ernakulam) was established on 18th August 2005 under the management of Adi Sankara Trust registered as a public charitable trust on 30th July 1998.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is recognized & approved by Government of Kerala & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bengaluru.

Accordingly, the institution has accomplished a great hold on the subject of philosophy. It tries to create a positive environment around its own with the best values and principles.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Short-term Courses: Computer Fundamentals:

The institute conducts a Computer Proficiency course for the B.Ed. students as part of equipping them with the most advanced technologies in the area of computer application in the process of teaching and learning.

Communicative English:

English as an international link language has attained greater significance today in the context of globalization.  Looking forward to the challenges that it poses for the teachers of today, the institute offers a Remedial English Course for all students of B.Ed.
