India Post, under the Ministry of Communications has invited online applications from eligible candidates for filling 4,442 vacancies to the post of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Gramin Dak Sevaks for Tamil Nadu Circle through direct recruitment. The online application process towards the same starts from March 15, 2019 and closes on April 15, 2019.
Candidates interested in applying for the post of BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevaks through TN Garmin Dak Sevak Recruitment must have attained 18 years of age as on March 15, 2019 and must not have exceeded 40 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates and 43 years for OBC categories. Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 (GEN/OBC/EWS) as application processing fee through online (Internet Banking/Debit/Credit payment gateways) mode or Challan mode as detailed in the notification. However, SC/ST/Women and PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Desirous candidates applying for the post of BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevaks through TN Garmin Dak Sevak Recruitment must have passed Class 10/SSC or equivalent with Mathematics and English as one of their subjects from a recognized Board/Institute. Candidates must have command over local dialect of the region/circle they are applying under, and must possess a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate (sixty-days duration) from a recognized Computer Training Institute. Applicants must be able to ride cycle, scooter or motorcycle. The selection of candidates as BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevaks through TN Garmin Dak Sevak Recruitment will be done based on the candidates' performance in Class 10/SSC or equivalent. Candidates selected as BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevaks will be paid a remuneration in the following scale: Branch Postmaster: Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 14,500 per month Assistant Branch Postmaster and Gramin Dak Sevaks - Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000 per month Candidates applying for the post of BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevaks through TN Garmin Dak Sevak Recruitment must submit their applications through online mode only from March 15, 2019 onwards.
