The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) recently issued a notification announcing vacancies for ESP (Extraordinary Sportspersons) Posts. A total of 447 vacancies have been released for various positions, including Deputy Ranger, Trained Graduate Teacher, Warder, Assistant Superintendent, Haryana Police Constable, Junior Coach, Assistant Lineman (ASP), and more.

Following the notification, HSSC initiated the application process and invited candidates to participate in the HSSC ESP Recruitment drive. The application period for this recruitment started on April 1st and will continue until May 1st. Interested candidates should carefully read the notification, ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, and apply before the deadline.
Here are the steps interested candidates should follow while applying for the HSSC ESP vacancy in 2024:
- Visit the official HSSC website at https://hssc.gov.in/.
- Find and click on the "Apply Online" option.
- Complete the registration form that appears by providing your name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc.
- Upon registration, you will receive your unique registration number.
- Use this registration number to log in to the website.
- Access the HSSC ESP application form.
- Fill out the application form with accurate details and attach the required documents.
- Click on the submit button to submit the form on the website.
- Keep a printed copy of your form for future reference.
Age Criteria
The age criteria for applicants typically range from 18 to 42 years for most positions. However, certain roles such as Warder and Assistant Superintendent Jail may have different age requirements, with age limits set at 18-25 years and 21-27 years, respectively. It is advisable to consult the official notification for precise details regarding age requirements and any applicable relaxations.
Educational Qualifications
- Assistant Lineman (ALM) - Candidates should have passed the 10th class examination and completed a 2-year ITI course in Electrician/Wireman trade, or obtained a 2-year Vocational Course under the Lineman or Electrician trade.
- TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) - Physical Education - Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or possess a Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) or its equivalent. Additionally, they must have cleared the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).
- Deputy Ranger - Candidates should have completed Intermediate Science (10+2) or its equivalent with a combination of any three of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Agriculture, or Forestry from a recognized Board/University. Alternatively, a Diploma in Civil/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science from a recognized Board/University is also acceptable.
- Warder - Applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized education board.
- Assistant Superintendent Jail (Male) - A Graduation degree from a recognized university is required for this position.
- Junior Coach - Candidates should hold a Graduation degree or possess an equivalent qualification, along with a Diploma in Coaching from the National Institute of Sports in the relevant sport. Alternatively, they should have a Diploma from the National Institute of Sports along with a Certificate of Participation in the relevant sport.
- Constable (General Duty) - Candidates should have completed the 10+2 examination from a recognized Education Board/Institution. Additionally, proficiency in Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or higher education is also necessary.
- Sub Inspector (General Duty) - A Graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory for candidates applying for the Sub Inspector position.
