The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Govt. of India-run Oil and Gas company has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals for engaging 466 Apprentices in various capacities and disciplines comprising Trade Apprentice/Attendant Operator in Chemical Plant (chemical discipline), Trade Apprentice-Fitter and Boiler (mechanical discipline), Technician Apprentice (chemical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation disciplines), Technician Apprentice (secretarial assistant), and Technician Apprentice (accountant) to be posted at its various refinery units in Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, Haldia, Mathura, Panipat, Digboi, Bonaiaon and Paradip.
The online application process towards the same will start from 16 February 2019 and close on 08 March 2019 by 5 pm, with 22 March 2019 as the last date for submitting hard copies of the online application with supporting documents at IOCL's respective refinery units.
Desirous candidates applying for Apprentice's post in multiple trades/disciplines through IOCL Recruitment 2019 must have attained 18 years of age as on 28 February 2019 and must not have exceeded 24 years, with a relaxation in the upper age limit up to 29 years for SC/ST candidates and 27 years for OBC (NCL) categories. Desirous candidates applying for Apprentice's post in multiple trades/disciplines through IOCL Recruitment 2019 must possess the qualifications as under: Trade Apprentice (Chemical Plant, Boiler) - Candidates applying for these posts must possess a B.Sc. Degree (3 years) in (Physics, Mathematics,Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry). Trade Apprentice (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) - Candidates applying for these posts must possess a 3 year Diploma in concerned discipline/subject. Trade Apprentice (Secretarial Assistant)- Candidates applying for this post must possess a B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Degree (3 years). Trade Apprentice (Accountant) - Candidates applying for this post must have completed a B.Com Degree (3 years). The selection of candidates as Apprentices in multiple trades/disciplines through IOCL Recruitment 2019 will be done based on the candidate's performance in the Written Test of two hours and Personal Interview. Candidates selected as Apprentices in multiple trades/disciplines will be paid a consolidated stipend equal to the minimum wages applicable in the State plus Rs. 25,000/- per month will be paid by the respective refinery towards stationery and miscellaneous expenses.
