Tech giants and conglomerates including Infosys, TCS, ITC, IBM and several other corporate houses have asked their employees to Work From Home (WFH) amid a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

Work From Home News: Amid a rapid increase in the COVID-19 cases across the country pulsated by a second wave, several tech companies have decided to switch back to the work from home (WFH) culture while prioritizing the health of their employees.

Several corporate houses and conglomerates in the country such as Infosys, TCS, IBM, ITC, Deloitte, SAP India, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Raymond, PolicyBazaar, InMobi, Dunzo among others have called on its employees to work from home (WFH) shifting from its existing phased working pattern from onsite/office.

To make it effective, companies are sending out advisories on work from home (WFH) to their employees and staff not just in states and regions hit by the second COVID wave, but also to its personnel across the country as a precautionary measure prioritizing their health and wellbeing.

Asking employees to stay put at their homes, Infosys COO Pravin Rao, in an e-mail to them said, "...do not leave your homes without wearing a protective mask, practice social distancing, and avoid crowds ... We request you not to venture out unless it's an emergency."

On resorting back to WFH mode KA Narayan, President, HR, Raymond told ET, "We were proactive in taking precautionary measures and advised our office staff total work from home starting April 5. We will continue with this measure till the situation gets under control."

Likewise, Motilal Oswal Financial Services - a Financial services company, has instructed the majority of its employees across India to work from home (WFH).

In the view of partial and complete lockdowns back in place to contain the spread of COVID-19 across the country, tech firms and service companies have resorted back to work from home (WFH) culture until the situation stabilizes and business gets to normal.
