The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the most prestigious exam, Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2021 scheduled on June 27 due to ongoing lockdown in several states caused by the second wave of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic. The Commission is likely to conduct the IAS Preliminary Exam 2021 on October 10th. It has released a notice regarding the UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam postponed. Aspirants who have registered for the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) are advised to keep visiting the official website to check the latest updates.

The official notice reads, "Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10th October, 2021."
Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services notification on March 4 and accepted the online applications till March 24, 2021. It has also provided an option to withdraw the application forms for those candidates who have changed their mind post-registration.
List of UPSC Exams Postponed
UPSC EPFO Exam Postponed: The UPSC has postponed the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) exam 2021 scheduled on May 9 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.
UPSC Interview Postponed: The Commission has deferred the Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 (scheduled between April 20 and 23, 2021) and the Civil Services Examination 2020 (scheduled between April 26 and June 18, 2021).
In February, the Central Government has informed the Supreme Court that it has decided not to grant one more attempt to aspirants of the Civil Services Examination (CSE), who could not appear for the prelims exam last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
