The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the year 2015 would be held online. It will be a computer based test.
The online registration for GATE 2015 would commence from September 1, 2014.
For the year 2015, GATE entrance exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.
According to GATE 2015 website, GATE exam will be held on January 31, February 01, 07, 08, 14, 2015.
Candidates need to note that the examinations for all the 22 papers of GATE 2015 would be conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT). The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidates by using the virtual keypad. The rest will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
The examination will be conducted during morning and afternoon sessions on weekends, i.e., every saturday and sunday from January 31 to February 8, 2015, except Wednesday on February 14.
GATE is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
