CBSE 12 Board Exam 2021 Updates: CBSE Class 12 Board Exams Cancelled. Class XII CBSE Board Exams cancelled today by the Central government. Due to this there will be no exams for CBSE CISCE students.

CBSE 12 Board Exam 2021 Updates: The Centre in a high-profile meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today cancelled the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic pulsated by a second wave and will be conveying its decision to the Supreme Court on June 3, which is hearing a plea seeking cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exams and has sought government response on the matter.

Informing about his government's decision to cancel CBSE Class 12 Board Exams, Prime Minister Modi in a twitter post said, "Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth."

In the wake of the cancellation of Class 12 CBSE Board Exams, Class XII results will be evaluated as per a well-defined objective criterion in a time-bound manner.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister conveyed his sympathy for students stating that the Health and safety of students was of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect and called on not to force students to appear for CBSE 12 Board Exams in such a stressful situation

He further stressed on putting an end to the anxiety among students, parents and teachers and pleaded that all stakeholders must show sensitivity for students.

During the review meeting on CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021, the Prime Minister was briefed about the wide and extensive consultations held so far, and views received from all stakeholders, including State governments on the conduct of Class XII CBSE Board exams.

The meeting was attended by Union Ministers of Home, Defence, Finance, Commerce, Information & Broadcasting, Petroleum and Women & Child Development Ministries and Principal Secretary to PM, Cabinet Secretary & Secretaries of School Education & Higher Education Departments & other officials.

Earlier in April, the Centre had cancelled Class 10 exams and postponed CBSE Class 12 Board Exams.

With the decision to cancels the Class XII CBSE Board Exams, there will be no exams for CBSE and CISCE students this year.
