KEA enabled fresh option entry for those unallotted in Round 2 or who cancelled after paying the penalty, and a shorter window for candidates seeking upgradation after joining. Round 3 option entry closed on September 3, and afresh options were mandatory. Keep your CET number and date of birth ready.

KCET Round 3 choice selection deadline: what closes today

Two clocks run today. The Choice‑4 exit for fresh Round 3 allottees was available until 10 am. KEA will consolidate surrendered seats, rerun upgradations, and publish the final Round 3 list. Choice selection on the final list closes at 6 pm, so lock your decision without delay.

KCET Round 3: Choice 1, 2, 3, 4 rules and penalties

Choice‑1 means accept, pay, download the confirmation slip, and report. Choice‑2 keeps your previous admission while you await upgradation. Choice‑3 rejects the allotment but stays in counselling if another round opens. Choice‑4 exits fully; KEA notes candidates “can opt Choice‑4.” Late surrender can attract “five times of the fees as penalty.”

KCET Round 3: fee payment, confirmation slip, reporting

After choosing Choice‑1, complete online fee payment, then download the confirmation or admission order from the KEA portal. Print and carry it to the college within the notified reporting window. Delay can void your seat or trigger penalties, and many colleges finish in‑person verification the same day.

Documents to carry and common mix‑ups to avoid

Carry the confirmation or admission order, KEA verification slip, CET hall ticket, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, study and category certificates, income certificate if applicable, photo ID, and recent photographs. Do not mix UGCET counselling timelines with UGNEET. Medical and dental schedules run separately and do not alter KCET deadlines.

If you were upgraded, your earlier admission stands replaced; print the new confirmation and report. If unallotted, track KEA for a possible Round 4 after today’s consolidations and Choice‑4 surrenders. Importantly, candidates who reported in Round 2 and sought upgradation are not eligible for Choice‑4 now. Decide by 6 pm to safeguard your next steps.
