Jobs Where You Don’t Have To Deal With Customers

The modern economic cycle is based on the concept of give and take; you offer money and someone else gives you the product or service that you need. Often to be able to afford to give that money, you yourself need to work in a sector wherein you toil to give someone else what they need. In a situation like this, most of the job roles that we see around involve interaction with the buyer or the customer. Now, not everyone is fond of this type of interaction and many people would rather get their work done quietly and be done for the day.

If you are one such person, you will be happy to know that there is a host of career options available for people like you. This article explores the different jobs wherein you do not have to interact with customers at all. Now it is time that you access your skill set, experience and preference and based on that go ahead and make your pick.

Jobs With Limited Customer Interaction

1. Transcriptionist

Transcriptionists are required in a variety of industries that range from that of the medical and finance to that of legal. Irrespective of the field that you are employed in or whether you work as a freelancer or a full-time employee, chances of you having direct interactions with the customers are pretty rare. The icing on the cake here is the fact that in most cases you will not have to interact with other team members as well.

2. Paralegal

There are people who are immensely attracted to the legal field but for some reason or the other, they have not completed the mandatory five-year law course. Such people can obtain an associate's degree and become a legal expert. The main job of a paralegal is to research data and organise documents. This has minimal or no contact with the customers.

3. Technical Writer

The job role of a technical writer involves taking all that technical jargon and simplifying the same to a level that common people understand. Although technical writers have to work in an office setting, most of their work is done independently, with no interaction with the customers. Thus, this job is all the way more suitable for people who are introverts by nature.

4. Graphic Designer

The main skill that a graphic designer needs is their artistic ability. In this field all you have to do is prove your worth initially and after that you can live by the name that you have created. Here interaction with the client or the company that you work for is only at the initial level. Once the deal is sealed you do not have to talk to anyone. Your work is going to do all that talking for you.

5. Radiologist

Contrary to popular believes, this is one career in the medical field that has no interaction with the patients. The primary responsibility of a radiologist is to interpret CT scans and many a times they can do so without even meeting the patients in person. All that they have to do is to ensure that things go on smoothly with the scan and report their findings to the concerned doctor. Another point to be noted here is the fact that after regular doctors, this is one of the highest paying professions in the medical industry.

6. Shelf Stocker

This is one of the few entry-level jobs that do not involve lot of human interactions. This is a good option for people who are very well organised by nature and do not have a formal degree. This is particularly suited for people who like to stick to deadlines and are not lazy by nature. However, as is obvious from the nature of the job, this is suited only for young people.

7. Data Analyst

This profession is for people who feel that facts and figures are their forte. The job role of a data analyst is to take into consideration the data that has been accumulated over years and draw certain trends and patterns from the same. This is then reported to the marketing team and they modify their strategies based on those reports. Thus, other than some minimal interaction with experts from the field of marketing, data analysts do not really interact with people.

8. Tax Preparer

This is one behind-the-scene role that has a major impact on people's finances. Here, all you have to do is interact with a person's finances instead of interacting with the person directly. All that this job requires is a degree in commerce and a love for numbers. In a country like India, where the tax rules are complicated, these types of jobs are high on demand. This is another high-paying job that offers decent job security as well.

9. Zoologist

There are many people who do not like interacting with people but are inherently fond of animals. In such a case, the profession of a zoologist is the right one for you. In this case your work location may range from that of an office to that of natural habitats of animals. However, in either case, you do not have to deal with customers at all. The nature of the job brings you closer to nature and that is something most introverts are fond of.

10. Software Developer

This is one of the most sought-after professions of the digital age. The role of a software developer is to create specific applications, for computers to developing systems, that can control and manipulate an entire range of services. This job is suited for people who are brilliant in maths and have a special affinity for computers and everything else related to technology. In this profession most of the interaction is in the virtual world and you have little or no contact with actual customers.
