VTU gives extra time for students to complete their B.E degrees

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum has given extra time for the students to complete their B.E degrees.

According to the VTU Vice-chancellor, the students who have taken admission to regular B.E courses in the year 2006-07 and the students who have taken admission through lateral entry in the year 2008-09 are permitted to appear for the December 2014 / January 2015 and June 2015 / July 2015 university semester examination one more time, to clear the examination and complete their degrees.

The students of B.E courses should have completed the entire course within the stipulated period of 8 years and left few backlog subjects. The students taken admission to B.E course through lateral entry, should have completed the course within the stipulated period of 6 years and left few backlog subjects.

These students have to pay a penalty of Rs 3,000/- per subject in addition to the examination fee.

The students who have not completed the course in full within the course duration, as per the varsity regulation, are not eligible to appear for the examination.

The students who are appearing for the examination under this scheme, have to download the format enclosed in the VTU website and attach it with the examination form.
