The government of Uttar Pradesh (United Provinces Government) has established "United Provinces Board of Medical Examination" in 1917, with an aim to provide standard education in the field of Medical, Nursing and Paramedical and an independent examination authority. The primary task was to conduct examinations of the students of LMP (Licentiate Medical Practitioners ) of Agra Medical School, Licentiates in public health, Nursing and certain courses in Paramedical field.
