UPSC Notification: Civil Services Prelims Preponed For 2017

The preliminary examination for UPSC civil services has been preponed. The examination will be held in month of June instead to August in order to complete the entire examination process in time.

The preliminary examination for the civil services posts has been preponed by the Union Public Service Commission. The civil services prelims will be held in June instead of August next year.

The civil services prelims are being held early in June rather than August after a gap of 3 years.

According the UPSC's calendar, the UPSC preliminary examination for 2017 is scheduled to be held on June 18, 2017.

According to an official, the change in date of the examination is to ensure that the entire process of the UPSC examination is completed in time.

The prelims were for 2016, 2015 and 2014 were held during the month of August, while the examination for 2017 will be held in June. In 2013, the UPSC civil services prelims was held in the month of May.
