Eligibility criteria

Educational requirement:

• For Assistant Conservator of Forest: The candidates interested in applying for this post should be holding a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subject namely botany, zoology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geology, forestry, statistics or a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a Bachelor's degree in engineering from a university.
  
• For Range Forest Officer: The candidates interested in applying for this post should be holding a Bachelor's degree with two or more of the subjects, namely mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, forestry, geology, agriculture, statistics, horticulture and environment or a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or veterinary science from a university.

Age limit:

• The age of the candidates applying for these posts must not exceed 40 years and must be 21 years. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.

Pay scale:

• For Assistant Conservator of Forest: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,100, along with a grade pay of Rs 5,400.
  
• For Range Forest Officer: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800, along with a grade pay of Rs 4,800.

How is the selection procedure done?

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of a preliminary examination, main (written) examination and personality test.
