Educational qualification for TNPSC recruitment:

For Assistant Director of Horticulture posts: Candidates applying for this post must have completed MSc degree in Horticulture.

Age limit for Assistant Director of Horticulture posts: Candidate should not have completed 30 years for UR candidates (Except Destitute Widow). All others there is no age limit.

Pay scale for Assistant Director of Horticulture posts: Candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs 56,100 plus allowances in Pay Matrix Level 22.

For Horticultural Officer posts: Candidates should hold a BSc degree in Horticulture.

Age limit for Horticultural Officer posts: Candidate should not have completed 30 years for UR candidates (Except Destitute Widow). All others there is no age limit.

• Minimum age limit is 18 years (should have completed for all)
• Maximum age limit is 35 years

Pay scale for Horticultural Officer posts: Candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs. 37,700 plus allowances in Pay matrix level 20.

Exam pattern for Assistant Director of Horticulture posts:

• It is an MCQ type of examination which consists of two papers.
• Paper I: Horticulture (PG Std level)
• Paper II: General Studies (Degree Std Level)
• There is no negative marking system.
