The Maharashtra government has announced the establishment of 1,499 new colleges across the state this year, a huge stride forward in its educational goal.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis revealed this big unique endeavour on Wednesday.
Fadnavis stated on social media, "The Maharashtra government will set up 1,499 new colleges this year in the state as part of a five-year plan approved in a meeting held here."
The deputy CM's declaration has thrust Maharashtra's educational sector into the spotlight, with this ambitious plan aiming for the period 2024-29.

This critical decision came as a result of a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The conference was hosted in the state government's Sahyadri guest home in Mumbai, a choice that reflected the venture's grandeur and importance.
