An official employment notification has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), calling out for interested and eligible candidates to apply for the post of Stenographer.

Educational qualification

Candidates should have passed at least class 12
Candidates must have relevant skills for stenography

Age limit

Applicants must be in the age group of 18-27 years as on 1 August 2017.

Selection process

Computer based exam will be conducted in the month of September for recruitment to post of Stenographer (Grade C and D).
Those who qualify in the preliminary exam will be able to attend the skills based test for different categories of candidates

Deadline

The last date for candidates to apply is on or before 15 July 2017. The online registration portal will close on the last day at 5.00 pm.

The examinations will be held on 4-7 September 2017.

What does the SSC Stenographer recruitment official notification read?

'On successful completion of the period of probation, the candidates shall, if considered fit for permanent appointment, be confirmed to their post by the Controlling Authority.'
