SSC Scientific Assistant IMD Exam 2017 Recruitment Begins

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has begun the recruitment process for the post of Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department (IMD). The online registration lines for the recruitment has been opened.

SSC will conduct the examination between 20 and 27 November 2017

Eligibility

Age limit

Upper age limit is 30 years; age relaxation is available as per government norms.

Educational Qualification

Candidates with Bachelor's Degree in

• Science (with Physics as one of the subject)
• Computer Science/Information Technology
• Computer Applications OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

from a recognised Institution/University or equivalent are eligible to apply. Candidates must have obtained first class in the qualifying degree.

Exam pattern

The recruitment examination will comprise of two parts: the first part will consist of questions related to general intelligence, reasoning, aptitude, English language, general awareness and the second part will be subject specific.

SSC Scientific Assistant IMD exam 2017 admit cards

Admit cards for the SSC examination will be released two weeks before the exam. 'If any candidate is unable to download Admission Certificate for the examination one week before the date of examination, he/she must immediately contact the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Office (s) of the commission with proof of having submitted his/her application.'
