The Supreme Court has dismissed a parent's plea seeking cancellation of the remaining Rajasthan board exams 2020. It has allowed the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) to conduct the remaining papers of Class 10 and Class 12 scheduled on June 29 and 30. In a special hearing on Sunday, the bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjiv Khanna dismissed an appeal filed by Maghi Devi. The Apex Court refused to interface with the holding of remaining Class 10th State Board examinations in Rajasthan.
Govind Singh Dotasra, Minister for Education in Rajasthan tweeted, "CBSE has postponed the 10th, 12th board examinations in the country but the Board of Secondary Education will conduct the remaining examinations of 10th and 12th. For the last 11 days, the board has been successfully conducting the examination keeping in mind the social distancing and the remaining examinations will also be conducted by taking all the precaution."

Earlier, the CBSE has informed the Supreme Court that it decided to cancel the pending board exams for both Class 10 and Class 12 and students will be promoted based on the internal assessment. The Court had approved the new assessment scheme proposed by the Board.
