In the most recent broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha', students preparing for board exams received invaluable advice from previous exam toppers. The annual event, which was held at Delhi's picturesque Sunder Nursery, marked a departure from its usual town hall setup to a more casual atmosphere. Modi engaged in a candid conversation with the students, covering a wide range of topics such as leadership, the importance of meditation, the debate between exams and knowledge, maintaining focus, and the prudent use of technology.

During the event, Armanpreet Singh, last year's National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance exam topper, emphasized the importance of not being intimidated by the syllabus' volume. He advised against the common practice of gauging a chapter's difficulty by its length, suggesting instead that students should break down their syllabus into manageable parts, prioritize topics, and regularly revise. Echoing this sentiment, IIT Bombay student Chidvilas Reddy remarked, "there cannot be any fixed formula, what works for everyone is personalized preparation," highlighting the need for a tailored approach to studying.
Aside from Modi and the student speakers, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' has featured insights from various distinguished personalities across different fields. Notables such as Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Bhumi Pednekar, Vikrant Massey, and spiritual leader Sadhguru have shared their life experiences and learning perspectives in past episodes. The programme has also welcomed contributions from nutrition and health experts like Shonali Sabherwal and Rujuta Diwekar, YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary, known as 'TechGuruji', and Radhika Gupta, MD and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, providing a rich tapestry of viewpoints on education and personal growth.
Since its inception at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium in 2018, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' has evolved into a significant platform for Prime Minister Modi to connect with students facing examination pressures. It offers a space for open discussion on overcoming stress and other related challenges. The programme's seventh edition took place in a town hall setting at Bharat Mandapam, drawing participants from across India and abroad.
"We usually have a habit of counting the number of pages of the chapter before we begin reading or learning it. This impacts our psychology. I believe one should not be bothered about the volume at first and should divide everything into parts. Prioritise the topics and revise," Singh shared during the session, providing a glimpse into the mindset that helped him succeed.
The interaction at Sunder Nursery on February 10 kickstarted this year's series of discussions, where Modi touched upon various issues, including the need to use technology in a manner that is wise and not fearful. This blend of advice from the Prime Minister, insights from past exam toppers, and experiences shared by celebrities and professionals offers a comprehensive guide for students aiming to excel in their upcoming exams.
