OP Jindal Global University's Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has set the deadline for its five-year Law program applications as 30 April 2025. Prospective students are required to complete the LNAT-UK test by this date. This announcement comes as JGLS celebrates its position as India's top law school, a title it has held for six consecutive years according to the QS World Universities Rankings By Subject Law 2025. Positioned 78th globally, JGLS has consistently demonstrated excellence in legal education.

JGLS is recognized for its unique offerings and achievements, including the establishment of India's First Constitution Museum on its campus. This addition marks it as the only law school globally to have such a museum, further enhancing its educational environment. The university itself has been acknowledged as an Institution of Eminence (IOE) by the Government of India, celebrating 15 years since its foundation.
Admission Process and Requirements
The admissions process at JGLS is highlighted by the adoption of the LNAT Test, a globally recognized law school admissions test. Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, the Founding Vice Chancellor and Founding Dean of JGLS, praised the LNAT Test for its comprehensive assessment of candidates' reading comprehension and logical thinking skills, without relying on rote learning. He emphasized the test's smooth administration worldwide, providing a fair opportunity for all JGLS aspirants.
Vice Dean Professor Anand Prakash Mishra announced that 75% of seats for the 2025 academic year have already been filled through the Early Admission Process. The remaining 25% of seats across the BCom LLB, BA LLB, and BBA LLB programs will be filled based on the LNAT Test scores obtained on or before 30 April 2025. With a total of 300 seats across these programs, the law school aims to admit 75 students into each program.
LNAT Test Details and Scholarship Opportunities
The LNAT Test, essential for admission into JGLS, is a 95-minute assessment comprising 42 multiple-choice questions based on 12 passages. The computer-based test is accessible at over 500 centers globally, including more than 40 in India. Importantly, JGLS does not require an essay component for its admissions process. The cutoff score for early admissions stood at 15 out of 42, though this may vary in future admissions cycles.
JGLS offers over 300 merit-cum-means scholarships based on LNAT-UK scores. These scholarships cover between 10% to 75% of tuition fees, depending on the merit and annual parental income, which should not exceed INR 50 lakhs according to the latest ITR of both parents. Furthermore, the LNAT Test fee of 120 GBP is waived for admitted students, being adjusted in their first-year tuition fee.
In conclusion, JGLS stands as a beacon of excellence in law education in India, supported by its global rankings, unique facilities such as the Constitution Museum, and a rigorous admissions process. As the application deadline for the academic year 2025-26 approaches, students aiming for a premier legal education at JGLS must complete the LNAT-UK test by 30 April 2025, securing their chance to be part of this prestigious institution.
