The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the scorecards for the NEET UG retest on June 30. The re-examination was conducted on June 23 for 1,563 candidates who previously received grace marks due to a 'loss of time'. However, only 52% (813) of these candidates took the retest, while the remaining 48% opted to keep their original scores, excluding the grace marks.

At the Chandigarh center, two registered candidates did not attend the re-exam. In Jhajjar, where several top rankers had emerged, 287 out of 494 candidates appeared for the re-exam. The retest saw participation from 291 candidates in Chhattisgarh, one in Gujarat, and 234 in Meghalaya.
The NEET UG 2024 exam, held on May 5, saw participation from over 24 lakh candidates. Initial results were declared on June 4, with 67 students securing a perfect score of 720, a record number in NTA's history. Six of these perfect scorers were from a center in Faridabad, raising suspicions of possible irregularities.
The NEET-UG 2024 has faced scrutiny due to paper leaks and other alleged irregularities, including cheating, impersonation, and malpractices. The Ministry of Education has handed over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a comprehensive investigation.
In Chandigarh, although two candidates were eligible for the re-exam, neither attended. In Chhattisgarh, 291 out of 602 eligible candidates took the test. In Haryana, 287 out of 494 candidates, approximately 58%, appeared for the exam. In Meghalaya, 50.43% of eligible students took the test, while in Gujarat, the one eligible candidate attended the exam.
