The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the Round 2 eligible candidate list for NEET UG Counselling 2026. The list features 135 candidates whose category has been provisionally changed from Indian to NRI for participation in the undergraduate medical counselling process for the 2026-27 academic session.

The candidates included in the list will be considered for Round 2 counselling and can check the provisional seat allotment result through the official MCC counselling portal once it is released. The category conversion has been made after MCC examined the documents submitted by the candidates for NRI status.
The NRI status granted through this process is provisional and will be subject to verification during admission. Candidates who secure an NRI-category seat must carry the original documents submitted during the scrutiny process when reporting to the allotted medical college. MCC has cautioned that failure to produce the required original documents may lead to cancellation of the admission.
According to the MCC notice, the category conversion for the 135 candidates was carried out after scrutiny of the documents submitted by them for NRI status. The conversion is applicable specifically to the NEET UG counselling process for the 2026-27 session.
However, the NRI category status remains provisional and subject to verification at the time of admission. Candidates who are allotted NRI seats will have to produce the original documents submitted during the scrutiny process when reporting to their respective colleges.
MCC has clarified that failure to produce the required original documents may result in cancellation of admission.
The provisional seat allotment result for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 is scheduled to be published on September 11, 2026. Candidates who completed the choice-filling process should check the allotment result online once it is released.
Candidates should carefully verify the college, course and category mentioned in their allotment result. Those allotted seats will have to complete the reporting and joining formalities within the prescribed timeline.
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 are scheduled to report to their respective institutions from September 12, 2026.
Candidates can follow these steps to check the MCC Round 2 eligible candidate list:
1. Visit the official MCC website.

Candidates included in the NRI category conversion list should keep all original documents ready for verification during admission. The provisional conversion does not mean that the category status will be accepted permanently without further verification.
Candidates allotted NRI seats should report to the assigned institution within the prescribed schedule and carry the original documents required for admission.
The Round 2 allotment result will determine the college and course offered based on candidates' choices, merit and seat availability. Candidates should regularly monitor the MCC portal for further counselling notifications and admission instructions.
