NEET PG 2026 Re-exam Alert: NBEMS Announces New Date for Affected Jaipur Candidates After Power Failure

As of August 31, NBEMS scheduled NEET PG 2026 re-exam on September 5, 3 pm. It covers 2,445 candidates from two Jaipur centres hit by power failures on August 30. The re-test now influences result timing and how counselling calendars adjust nationwide. Authorities also initiated a review with the technology partner.

Only candidates whose examination couldn’t be completed at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura will re-appear. These are test centre numbers 41682 and 41683; others’ attempts remain valid. NBEMS apologised and said revised admit cards and venue instructions will follow. Officials also denied leak or hacking claims amid online speculation.

NBEMS attributed the disruption to internal power supply failures at the two centres, handled by the exam’s technology partner. Eligibility is centre-specific and fixed by attendance logs and appraiser reports. No opt-in re-test exists for candidates elsewhere. NEET PG 2026 result timeline and fairness policy

NBEMS has not announced the result date. Results will follow the September 5 re-test, after evaluation. Dr Abhijat Sheth stated: “There was no paper leak, cybercrime, or hacking.” He added: “There were no complaints received.” Officials said scores of unaffected candidates remain valid.

All-India counselling for 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) opens only after results. MCC has not published a PG 2026 schedule yet. Expect minor shifts in state calendars tied to result release.
