The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a cautionary advisory for NEET PG students, warning them against falling victim to fraudulent agents or touts.

NBEMS has highlighted that some individuals are attempting to deceive students by impersonating the Board. "It has come to the notice of NBEMS that some unscrupulous agents/touts are making false and bogus claims to the candidates and using spoofed notices, emails, SMS or contents on social media in the name of NBEMS for phishing," stated the official notice.
The Board advised students not to trust any fake notices circulating on social media about a revised schedule for NEET PG 2024. "All NBEMS notices issued from July 2020 onwards bear a QR code. Scanning the QR code will redirect the user to the said Notice on NBEMS website," added the notice.
Students should also be aware that NBEMS does not have an official presence on any social media platforms, including 'X'. "Candidates are hereby advised not to be allured or mislead by unscrupulous agents/touts making false and bogus claims of helping any candidate in any means by such spoofed emails/SMS or forged documents or social media," reiterated the notice.
The Board reminded students that it does not send emails or SMS regarding securing good marks in its exams. If approached by anyone promising undue favours or access to question papers through spoofed communications, candidates should report it immediately.
"In case candidates are approached by any unscrupulous agents/touts promising any such undue favour/ promising to provide question papers for NBEMS examinations through any spoofed emails/SMS or telephone call or forged documents or personally or through social media, the same may be reported to NBEMS through its Communication Web Portal: NBEMS Communication Portal or to the local police for further investigation," advised the notice.
