The Delhi government has announced a new merit- cum means scholarship scheme for the students who look forward to pursue higher studies in various universities in Delhi.

Merit-cum means Scholarship launched by Delhi Gov

This scholarship is aimed at needy students who are looking forward to study in one of the followuing universities:

The scheme will also cover the Netaji Subhash Intitute of Technology(NSIT) when the institute will transform into state university.

How is this Scheme useful?

The students from families who have an annual income above 2.5 lakh and not ascending 6 Lakh per year will receive a 25 per cent fee waiver.
The students of families who have and annual income up to 2.5 Lakh per year will be getting 50 per cent fee waiver.

The students whose belong to families who have been issued the cards under the National Food Security Scheme(NFSS) will be given 100 per cent fee waiver.

These schemes can be availed by the students who have scored minimum of 60 per cent. A relaxation of 5 per cent will be provided to students from the Sc/ST category.

The government has kept the requirement of documents for availing the scheme as minimum.

The scheme is expected to benefit 20-25, 000 students who belong to families that have poor and moderate means of income. The scheme has been formed under the framework of The Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust
