Are you a young professional from the Middle East or North Africa looking to level up your career and drive real change in your community? The MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP) 2025 might be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic, the MSP is more than just a scholarship-it's a platform for global learning, cultural exchange, and impactful leadership. Under the umbrella of the Shiraka Programme, this initiative offers fully-funded short courses in the Netherlands that focus on practical knowledge and real-world challenges.
What's Special About MSP?
Unlike traditional academic scholarships, the MSP is designed for working professionals under the age of 45 who are actively contributing to their home countries. The courses, lasting between 2 to 13 weeks, are crafted to tackle urgent global issues-whether it's climate-resilient agriculture, effective governance, water management, education reform, or entrepreneurship.
Who Can Apply?
The MSP is open to professionals who are nationals and residents of specific MENA countries, including:
- Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Syria, and Tunisia.
Note: Sudanese applicants are currently not eligible for the 2025 cycle due to regional circumstances.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be under 45 years of age
- Be proficient in English or French, depending on the course
- Have a strong professional background aligned with the programme's priority themes
The MSP goes beyond individual learning. Its Tailor-Made Training (TMT) programme brings customized training directly to teams or organizations in the MENA region. Whether the sessions are held in the Netherlands or locally, they're designed to meet the specific needs of groups working toward shared goals-think civil service teams, NGOs, or academic departments.
How to Apply?
Ready to make your mark? The application process is handled directly by the Dutch institutions offering the courses. Here's what you need to do:
- Choose a short course from the approved list.
- Check eligibility and admission requirements of the institution.
- Align your application with your country's development priorities under MSP.
- Apply online via the institution's portal within the application deadline.
