The Maharashtra government has reduced the school syllabus by 25 per cent for the academic session 2021-22. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the decision was taken considering the time permitted for organising classes. Maharashtra board syllabus reduced for classes 1 to 12. The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will soon release a detailed notification regarding the omitted lessons from the textbooks. Earlier, the MSBSHSE has declared Maharashtra SSC result 2021 on July 16. The overall pass percentage is 99.95%. The Maharashtra HSC result 2021 will be released in the last week of July.

Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad tweeted, "Based on deliberations held with various stakeholders & in view of a prevailing health emergency, we have decided to revise the syllabus for Std 1 to 12 for the academic year 2021-22, and reduce it by 25 per cent like last year."

Like last year, Maharashtra has decided to go ahead with the reduced syllabus for the academic session 2021-22. The SCERT will be releasing the details soon on the official portal. The SSC board has also decided to conduct Maharashtra FYJC CET (Common Entrance Test) for admission to Class 11. This optional entrance test will be held on August 21.
