Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) had invited candidates to apply for various professional courses for the new academic year 2017-2018. Earlier the last date to apply was scheduled on 2 March 2017.

The last date to apply for KCET 2017 Exam has been extended from 2 March 2017 to 8 March 2017 in order to enable candidates who have not registered yet to apply.
The dates have been extended following the request of many parents and students to postpone the last date to apply, according to the official notification on KCET website.
Also, the last date to pay the fees has been extended from 2 March 2017 to 10 March 2017.

The KCET 2017 exam will be held on May 2, 2017 and May 3, 2017. For Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates the examination is scheduled for May 4, 2017.
KCET is held every for admissions to the first year or first semester to Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Farm Science Courses i.e., B.Sc (Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri Bio Tech), B.H.Sc (Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg, Food Technology, Dairy Tech, Fisheries, Food Science & Tech), B.Sc(Agri. Marketing & Co-op), B.Pharm and Pharm-D courses for the academic year 2017-18.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test, is a state level common entrance test, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The entrance test is conducted to offer admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges of Karnataka.
