On Thursday, the Kerala government inaugurated a toll-free helpline aimed at aiding students and their parents in managing exam-related stress ahead of the SSLC, Higher Secondary, and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations scheduled for March. State Education Minister V Sivankutty announced the launch of the toll-free number, 'We Help' - 1800 425 2844, which will be operational starting today.

Available from 7 AM to 7 PM on all working days, the helpline offers free counseling provided by coordinators trained by Nimhans in Bengaluru. The service will continue until the conclusion of the exams in the state and will be overseen by the Higher Secondary Career Guidance and Adolescent Counseling Cell. Currently, model exams for SSLC students are underway in the state.
The toll-free service will remain in operation until the conclusion of the state examinations. Minister Sivankutty emphasized that counseling sessions will be conducted by professionals from the Higher Secondary Career Guidance and Adolescent Counseling Cell. This initiative underscores the government's dedication to nurturing a supportive atmosphere for students, acknowledging the importance of mental health in their academic journey.
Currently, the state is conducting model exams for SSLC students, underscoring the government's commitment to ensuring the overall well-being of students during the demanding exam period. This timely initiative seeks to offer assistance to students and parents navigating the challenges of exam season in Kerala.
