The Karnataka Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Kimmane Rathnakar, announced the SSLC board examination 2014 results today at 11 AM.

Overall, this year's results was highest when compared to the SSLC results of the last eight years.
In 2007, it was 73.21% and in 2014, it was 85.37% for regular students. In 2013, it was 80.97% and in 2012, it was 80.21%.
A total of 8,13,498 lakh students had appeared for the SSLC examination in 2014, out of which 6,60,515 (81.19%) students passed the examination. Around 4,32,533 boys and 3,80,965 girls had appeared in the examination, out of which 3,34,925 (77%) boys and 3,25,590 (85.46%) girls passed the exam, respectively.
According to the results, a total of 7,50,431 fresh candidates had appeared for the exam in 2014, for the first time, out of which 6,40,674 (85.37%) students passed the exam.
This year, Chikkodi district stands in first place with 91.7%, Sirsi in second place with 90.73% and Belgaum in third place with 89.91%, among the overall students passed in the SSLC examination.
Bidar district has been placed in the last position in SSLC results with 75.35%.
942 students in First Language, 328 in Second Language, 376 in Third Language, 242 in Mathematics, 16 in Science and 1058 students in Social Science have received 100% marks respectively.
Around 4,31,525 rural students and 3,40,704 urban students had appeared the exam, out of which 3,68,241 (85.33%) and 2,752,419 (80.84%) students cleared the examination, respectively.
