The second day of the exam for the Karnataka II PUC exams got over today with the science students giving their Computer Science exams. Most of the students in the exam centres in Bangalore were C.Sc compared to the Electronics students who comprised 1/4th of the total strength.

In an exam centre at Jayanagar, near South End circle, out of the 600 students from various PUCs, who wrote the board exams, more than 400 of them were from Computer Science stream.

How did the Karnataka II PUC Computer Science exam go?

"Conducted in an organised set up, the exams in our college went on without any problems. Usually, Computer Science and Electronics are light papers and so students might not have felt the heat this day," said Sowbhagya K, an invigilator at Vijaya PU College.

Also, students felt that the paper was easy, although all of them were not expected questions. "There were many unexpected questions but over all, the paper was easy," said Ashitha L N, a student. Said Anitha Khalia, a parent, "My daughter is a hard working student. All the subjects in this class are tough but my ward has prepared well and so has given her best shot."

Computer Science Paper Analysis

Part A

Part A comprised of 10 one marks questions that asked to define simple terms such as chatting and website. Since these terms are something even students use in their day today lives, this part was an easy start.

Part B

This part had eight questions in total, out of which option to attend any five were given. The first two questions of this part comprised boolean algebra. Two other questions were on syntax and the rest were on simple definitions and distinguishing.

Part C

This part carries three marks for five questions each. This section too had questions related to definitions and HTML tags.

Part D

Part D comprised 11 questions with a choice to answer any 7. Each question carried five marks with a total of 35 marks. This had questions related to class, OOPS and algorithms.
