The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the dates for the second session of JEE Main 2025. Originally scheduled between April 1 and April 8, the exams will now be held from April 2 to April 9. This slight rescheduling allows candidates to adjust their preparation timelines accordingly. The exam will be conducted across multiple cities in India and 15 international locations, catering to thousands of engineering aspirants.

Updated JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam Schedule
The second session of JEE Main will begin with Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), which is scheduled on April 2, 3, 4, and 7. These exams will be held in two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9 AM - 12 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3 PM - 6 PM
On April 8, the exam will take place in a single shift (3 PM - 6 PM), while April 9 is designated for Paper 2 (B.Arch & B.Planning), which will be conducted in the morning shift only.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Highlights
JEE Main 2025 continues to be one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams in India. The first session saw a record 95.93% attendance, with 12,58,136 candidates appearing out of 13,11,544 registrations. This overwhelming participation highlights the significance of the exam in shaping the careers of future engineers.
Additionally, JEE Main 2025 was conducted in 13 languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Assamese, ensuring accessibility for students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
However, the NTA had to withhold the results of 39 candidates due to reported malpractices, reinforcing its strict policies to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Toppers
Among the high achievers of Session 1, Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh emerged as the only female topper, making a mark in this highly competitive exam. Rajasthan once again dominated the list, with multiple toppers securing 100 percentile scores. The diverse list of top scorers from various categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwBD) reflects the exam's growing inclusivity.
Gender & Category-Wise Participation
JEE Main 2025 witnessed notable participation from female aspirants, with 4,43,622 female candidates registering for Paper 1. The category-wise breakdown showed significant representation from General, EWS, SC, ST, and OBC candidates, showcasing the increasing reach of engineering education across India.

Candidates who clear JEE Main 2025 will be eligible for admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through the JoSAA counselling process. Moreover, the top 2.5 lakh candidates will qualify for JEE Advanced 2025, which serves as the gateway to India's prestigious IITs.
