An official employment notification has been released by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), calling out for candidates to apply for various posts.

Eligibility

Graduate engineers will be posted as Engineers/ Officers
Those with postgraduate degree in Chemistry and 2 years of relevant work experience will be recruited as Assistant Officer (Quality Control)
Graduate engineers in the discipline Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation will be recruited as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs).

What does the IOCL recruitment official notification read?

'Short-listing of candidates for further selection process (comprising Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT) and Personal Interviews (PI)) will be based on GATE-2018 score. GATE score of 2017 or any other previous examination is not valid. Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2018 examination for getting shortlisted for further selection process comprising GD/GT and Personal Interview. However, short-listing will be based on merit of the candidates from different categories in line with the reservation policy,' reads the official notification.

Applicants belonging to general and OBC category must have secured minimum 65% marks in the degree exam (55% for other categories). For MSc in Chemistry the minimum marks is 60% for General and OBC (non- creamy layer) categories (55% for other reserved categories).
