Harvard University Designs e-Courses Exclusively For India To Tackle Employability Issues

Breaking a few norms through a planned enhancement strategy, Harvard University is set to launch e-courses unique to India.

Harvard University which launched programmes and initiatives curated within the US for the world, for the first time in 90 years will be rolling out a digital learning initiative exclusively for the Indian subcontinent.

Harvard University which is typically as a brand associated with senior management executives globally, will now in India impart learning courses to students who are at the threshold of starting their careers and also to entry level professionals. These courses will be available across the country including tier-1 and tier-2 towns.

The objective of these courses offered by Harvard is to address the employability issues which is paralyzing the growth of the country. This digital programme will also be provided free of cost to begin with and to connect with the masses on a large scale.

Once again, this free initiative is a new to Harvard as a brand, which has always been associated with expensive access.

In India, there is a wide gap between the industry requirement for employment and the quality of students that graduate from educational institutions. Every year, almost 12 million graduates enter the work industry out of which nearly 80% of them are unemployable.

Harvard is also exploring channel partner tie-up to facilitate its reach to individual students, early career professionals who can access the content on their smart phones.
