A Swedish environmental activist, Greta Thunberg, has extended her support to students regarding postponement of JEE Main and NEET 2020 entrance exams scheduled in September. The entrance exams for Class 12 students is likely to be held amid the COVID pandemic in the country. Greta, who has just returned to school after a 'gap year' of creating awareness about climate change, has expressed her concern for students of India on Twitter.

On August 17, the Supreme Court has dismissed the PILs which have been filed demanding to defer the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) Exam 2020. Justice Arun Mishra mentioned that Life cannot be stopped. We have to move ahead with all safeguards. Are students ready to waste one whole year?

The demand to defer the JEE Main and NEET entrance exams have been gaining ground across the country due to the rise in COVID cases and badly hit by floods.
