EAMCET 2014 counselling, Document Verification process from Aug 7

EAMCET 2014 Document Verification from Aug 7

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has decided to conduct EAMCET 2014 document verification process from Aug 07, 2014.

But the Telangana government demands APSCHE to postpone the EAMCET process.

Telangana government says that since a petition filed by the government is pending in Supreme Court, it will take a decision based on it. The hearing of the case is on August 4, by which time the government wants to file documents explaining how the fee reimbursement initiated by the erstwhile congress govt had turned into a scam.

"We are no way concerned with what the AP government does with regard to admissions to professional colleges. If they want to go ahead with counselling, let them. For us, AP is like Maharashtra and Karnataka. We will not interfere in AP affairs," Telangana education minister G Jagadeeswara Reddy said.

APSCHE Chairman L Venugopal Reddy said, "We will send a letter to the Supreme Court with all facts before it takes any decision on the future of counselling."

APSCHE chairman said that the decision on conducting the EAMCET counselling was taken in interest of students.

"We have received many representations from several bodies and parents to begin counselling as early as possible. But due to well known reasons it got delayed," he said.

"If any further delay in conducting the counselling would result in loss of one year to ECET and EAMCET candidates," he added.

More than 3 lakh students are waiting for the counselling.
