Today, September 10, is the final window to apply for India Post’s Deen Dayal SPARSH scholarship. Students in Classes VI to IX can secure ₹6,000 a year for philately. Submit your application to the Senior or Superintendent of Post Offices in your division by hand, Registered Post, or Speed Post before office hours.

Forms must reach the designated divisional office today, not just be posted today. Hand delivery is safest if you are near the office. Deen Dayal SPARSH scholarship eligibility

Applicants must be regular students of recognised schools in Classes VI to IX, with at least 60% marks in the last annual exam; the threshold is 55% for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe candidates. Membership in a School Philately Club or a live Philately Deposit Account also applies; PDA can start with ₹200.

The scholarship is ₹6,000 per awardee each academic year, disbursed quarterly into a Post Office Savings Bank or India Post Payments Bank joint account with a parent. Circles select forty students annually, ten from each class VI to IX, subject to merit and hobby linkage. Maintain club membership or an active PDA during the award year.
