The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), a crucial examination for aspiring teachers aiming to work in Central Government Schools, is set to hold its 21st edition in July 2025. Organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), this examination plays a key role in ensuring high educational standards across the country. Conducted twice a year, in July and December, the CTET assesses candidates' competence to teach at the primary (classes 1 to 5) and elementary (classes 6 to 8) levels.

For candidates eyeing the July 2025 session, the application process begins in April 2025, with the exam tentatively scheduled for July 6, 2025. The official date will be confirmed on the CTET website in due course.
CTET July 2025 Examination Details
- Paper I - For candidates aspiring to teach primary classes (1 to 5).
- Paper II - For candidates who wish to teach elementary classes (6 to 8).
Clearing CTET is essential for securing a teaching position in prestigious schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS). The exam will be conducted in an offline mode across multiple centers, featuring two separate shifts:
- Morning shift - 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Afternoon shift - 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
The CTET Admit Card 2025 will be released seven days before the exam date and will contain essential details such as exam venue, reporting time, and guidelines. Candidates must carry their admit card to the exam center for entry.
CTET 2025 Passing Criteria
- General category candidates must score 60% or above (90 marks out of 150).
- SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates must secure 82 marks out of 150 to qualify.
