COMEDK UGET 2021 Postponed Due To COVID, New Exam Date Soon

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has decided to postpone the COMEDK UGET 2021 exam scheduled on June 20 due to the ongoing Coronavorus pandemic. The exam authority also extended the last date to apply online for the Uni-GAUGE-E and COMEDK UGET 2021 exam. The Consortium will accept the online application forms till July 15, 2021. It has announced that the new exam date will be released in due course. Aspirants are advised to keep visiting the official portal to check the latest updates.

The official notice reads, "Through its notification dated. 07.02.2021, COMEDK had announced that the COMEDK UGET - 2021 for Engineering courses will be conducted on Sunday the 20th June 2021. Subsequently, it had published a detailed Information Brochure on 19.03.2021 prescribing the eligibility criteria for the said entrance exam along with other rules and regulations."

It added, "Now, due to the concerns arising out of COVID-19 pandemic, COMEDK has decided to postpone the examination scheduled to be held on 20.06.2021. The new date of examination will be announced in due course."

It concluded, "In view of this, the last date for submission of completed application online is
extended up to and inclusive of 15th July 2021. All other terms and conditions brought out in the Information Brochure dtd. 19.03.2021 will remain unchanged."

Earlier, the Consortium has announced that the online applications for the COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE-E 2021 exams will be accepted until May 20. It has extended the deadline due to the postponement of the COMEDK UGET exam 2021.

Every year, the Consortium conducts the COMEDK UGET exam for admissions to over 20,000 seats at approximately 150 participating colleges. The selection of the candidates will be based on the online written exam consisting of sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It conducts the Uni-GAUGE E exam for admissions into participating institutes of the ERA Foundation.
