How to Apply for CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025

Fee Structure (Per Subject)

  • Within India: ₹300
  • Schools in Nepal: ₹1,000
  • Schools Outside India: ₹2,000
  • Late Fee (All Categories): ₹2,000 in addition to the subject-wise fee

Eligibility Criteria

Class 10 Students: Eligible to appear in up to two subjects placed in the compartment category.

Class 12 Students: May appear in one subject only for improvement or compartment.

Students who have failed due to the replacement of an elective subject can appear in the failed subject again.

Students who passed but wish to improve marks in one subject may also register for the exam.

Subject Flexibility

CBSE has allowed Class 10 students to switch from Standard Mathematics (041) to Basic Mathematics (241) for the supplementary exam if they initially opted for Standard Maths and didn't pass. This flexibility is aimed at supporting students with different academic strengths and goals.

  • Regular Students: Will receive admit cards through their schools.
