The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied reports in the media that it told the Ministry of Education that it cannot hold bi-annual board exams for classes 10 and 12 due to the current academic timetable. CBSE stated that these reports are false and reaffirmed its dedication to following the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education.

CBSE Denies Inability to Conduct Bi-Annual Board Exams:
On July 1, CBSE refuted claims reported in the media that it had informed the Ministry of Education about limitations regarding bi-annual board exams. The board issued a clarification on X (formerly known as Twitter), stating that there was no such communication between CBSE and the Ministry of Education. The news item published in Hindustan Times on June 30, 2024, titled "Cannot conduct Board Exams twice a year: CBSE," was deemed baseless by CBSE.
CBSE Committed to Implementing NEP 2020 and NCF-SE:
In an official notice, CBSE emphasized its dedication to implementing the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE). The board held a meeting with stakeholders on June 25, 2024, to discuss pathways for effective implementation of these recommendations. This commitment from CBSE demonstrates its focus on enhancing educational standards in India.
CBSE has denied any communication with the Ministry of Education regarding its inability to conduct bi-annual board exams. The board remains committed to implementing the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education, working towards improving education in India.
