The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set the dates for the CBSE Board Exams 2025, announcing that they will commence on February 15, 2025. This announcement was made shortly after the board released the examination results for 2024 on May 13, accessible on their official site cbse.gov.in.

This year marked a significant change in the curriculum, with the introduction of new subjects for both Class X and XII students, aiming to broaden their academic and practical knowledge base.
For Class X, the new subjects introduced are Kokborok, Electronics and Hardware, Foundation Skill for Science, and Design Thinking and Innovation. These additions reflect the board's commitment to incorporating more diverse and tech-oriented subjects into the curriculum. Similarly, Class XII students will now have the opportunity to explore subjects such as Kokborok, Physical Activity Trainer, Land Transportation Associate, Electronics and Hardware, and Design Thinking and Innovation. These subjects are designed to equip students with skills relevant to the evolving job market and societal needs.

Class X:

In an unprecedented move, CBSE has also extended its examination services to 155 government schools in Ladakh, conducting board exams there for the first time. This initiative is part of the board's efforts to ensure educational inclusivity and accessibility across all regions of India.
The 2024 examination session saw a total of 39,81,266 students registering for the exams, with 22,81,225 and 17,00,041 students from Class 10 and Class 12 respectively. Following the release of the results, the board has scheduled revaluation processes, beginning on May 17 for Class 12 and May 20 for Class 10, offering students an opportunity to have their exam papers reassessed.
This direction by CBSE in introducing new subjects and expanding its reach to remote areas like Ladakh signifies a holistic approach towards education, aiming not only to cater to the academic but also the vocational and innovative skill sets required by students in the modern world.
