The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up to declare the much-anticipated Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam Results 2025. With lakhs of students having appeared for the exams this year, the results are expected to be released in the first week of May 2025, based on recent trends.

As students and parents eagerly await this crucial academic milestone, the CBSE has ensured multiple platforms for convenient access to results, including official websites, SMS, DigiLocker, and mobile apps. CBSE Class 10th & 12th Result 2025: Date and Past Performance Trends

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam Results 2025 by the first week of May 2025, tentatively between May 4 and May 8. Over 38 lakh students appeared for the board exams this year - including approximately 21 lakh for Class 10 and 17 lakh for Class 12 - across thousands of centers in India and abroad.

Students will be able to access their results on the official websites:

  • cbse.gov.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in

Results will also be available on DigiLocker, UMANG App, and via SMS.

Steps to Check CBSE Results 2025:

  1. Visit the official CBSE result website.
  2. Click on "CBSE Class 10 Result 2025" or "CBSE Class 12 Result 2025".
  3. Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
  4. Submit the details and view your marksheet.
  5. Download or print the result for future use.

Past Year Trends (2024):

CBSE Class 10 Result 2024:

  • Overall pass percentage: 93.12%
  • Girls' pass percentage: 94.25%
  • Boys' pass percentage: 92.27%

CBSE Class 12 Result 2024:

  • Overall pass percentage: 87.33%
  • Girls' pass percentage: 90.68%
  • Boys' pass percentage: 84.67%

Girls continued to outperform boys in both exams, with the southern and northeastern regions of India showing impressive performances.

Evaluation and Grading:

CBSE follows a 9-point grading system for Class 10 and publishes subject-wise marks for Class 12. The passing criteria remain 33% marks in each subject including internal assessment/practical exams.

Rechecking & Compartment Exams:

After the results, CBSE opens the window for revaluation, rechecking, and photocopy requests of answer sheets. Compartment exams are expected to be held in July 2025, giving students another opportunity to improve.
