Although some states, including Delhi and Maharashtra, are against the exam, the government is likely to go ahead with the exam. The CBSE 12th board examination pattern is likely to change. The meeting discussed two proposals which include holding exams for limited subjects only and holding exams for all subjects yet reducing the time from three hours to 1.5 hours.

According to reports, most ministers have chosen the second option during the meeting. The exact details will be released on June 1 after the review meeting. The CBSE has likewise proposed to conduct the exam from June 15 to August 26.
