The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the 2025 board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will begin on February 15, 2025. This announcement reassures students and educators of CBSE's commitment to a structured academic year, providing plenty of time for preparation. As one of India's most influential educational authorities, CBSE plays a pivotal role in shaping academic experiences for students across the country and even internationally, with its vast network of affiliated schools.

Following the release of the 2024 exam results in May, attention has swiftly turned to the 2025 board exams. The schedule encompasses both theory and practical assessments, ensuring all schools can participate seamlessly. Winter-bound schools will conduct their practical exams from November 14 to December 14, 2024, while others will complete theirs between January 1 and February 15, 2025. Any changes to these dates will be communicated directly by the respective schools.
On exam days, students are expected to arrive at their exam centers by 9:30 AM. The exams will begin at 10:30 AM, but students will be given a 15-minute window to go through their question papers before starting. Most exams will span three hours, although certain elective subjects may require only two hours.
To help students prepare, CBSE has released a range of study resources, including sample papers and updated syllabi for the 2024-25 academic year. These materials are designed to assist students in both Classes 10 and 12 across all streams-science, commerce, and arts. In addition, CBSE offers mock tests to further enhance their readiness for these critical exams.
While tentative dates have been outlined for various subjects, reflecting patterns from previous years, the final date sheet will be published on the CBSE website later in the academic session. The exams cover a wide range of subjects, from core academics to vocational and elective courses, ensuring students experience a comprehensive assessment.
CBSE had introduced a dual exam format for the 2024-25 academic year, but details regarding whether this format will continue into 2025 are yet to be confirmed. Students and teachers are encouraged to stay updated by monitoring official CBSE announcements to stay informed about any changes in exam structure or scheduling.
