The admit card to attend the Common Admission Test (CAT) this year will be available today from 1 pm onwards. Over 2,32,434 applications pour in this year for the CAT exam that is conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B). Candidates can download the CAT admit card from IIM's official website.

CAT is an entrance exam for graduates to get into premiere management institutes for a post graduation in business management. Last year there were 2,18,664 applications and CAT 2016 has reportedly got the highest number of applications.
There are 938 Persons with Disability (PWD) applicants, where male candidates are the highest, although there has been increase in the number of PWD female candidates over the past years.
Earlier the admit card was supposed to be available for download from October 18 but IIM-B rescheduled it to October 24 (today) for undisclosed reasons. Even last year, the date for releasing the admit card was postponed.
The candidate's name, roll number, test city, exam center & its address, time and date of exam will be printed on the admit card and it is mandatory to carry it to the exam center. In case, the candidate fails to produce it, he/she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
The admit card is customarily made available online only and it will not be posted to the candidate's postal address.
