As lakhs of students prepare for traditional engineering entrance exams, Bosscoder School of Technology (BST) is offering a different option. The Bosscoder Scholastic Admission Test (BSAT) focuses on how students think and solve problems, rather than how well they memorize patterns or prepare through coaching classes.

BSAT is the entry exam for BST's 4-year B.Tech program in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence, offered in academic collaboration with S-VYASA University. With only 200 seats available, the test checks skills that are important for real engineering work - logical reasoning, mathematics, and the ability to solve new problems.
"Traditional entrance exams have become an industry of coaching and shortcuts," said Manish Garg, Director at Bosscoder School of Technology. "BSAT goes back to the basics. It focuses on whether a student can think clearly, not just whether they've been coached."
The exam is a 120-minute online proctored test that tests logical reasoning and mathematics. Instead of memorizing formulas or derivations, students are asked to solve problems that check how well they apply concepts to new situations.
Students who perform well on the test move on to a one-on-one personal interview with a BST faculty member, someone who has worked in the industry at leading tech companies. This interaction helps the college understand a student's genuine interest in technology, motivation to learn, and passion for building, ensuring they are choosing engineering with intent, not by default.
The skills-first approach also makes BSAT fairer for students from different backgrounds. Students without heavy JEE coaching, those from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and self-learners who focused on building skills all get an equal chance.
As part of the Bosscoder Scholastic Admission Test (BSAT) application process, students fill in detailed information, including Class X and XII academic records, Olympiad or coding competition achievements, personal projects, and extracurricular activities. These details, along with BSAT performance, are considered for admission and scholarship decisions, with support of up to 50% of tuition fees based on merit and financial need.
