13 year old boy cracks IIT JEE Exam
Satyam Kumar, a Bihar based farmer's son who is just 13 years old has cleared the IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance examination)- competitive examination this year. He was one among the 1,50,000 students who had applied for the exam.

Satyam had passed his class 12 board examination last year with an impressive all-India rank of 679.

Satyam's father Sidhnath Singh said "We are proud of him. He has done something special at this age".

The IIT JEE Advanced 2013 results were declared on Friday. Check the Counselling and seat selection details.

According to the soruces from the IIT JEE board, Sahal Kaushik from Delhi was the youngest candidate to crack the IIT JEE exam in 2010 at the age of 14. This year the record is held by Satyam.

Satyam, who address from Bakhorapur cillage in Bhojpur district, had last year qualified into the IIT at the age of 12-and-a-half years after he had sought special permission from the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and he had secured a All- India rank of 8,137.

Satyam who was not satisfied with his low performance, had appeared for the IIT JEE Preliminary examination held on June 2, 2013 as a result he has improved his rank by his hard work and determination.

He appeared for the exam in Kota, Rajasthan, where he had been studying. Earlier, Satyam Kumar had said that he wanted to establish a Software Company on the lines of Social Networking Website like FACEBOOK.
